Head to Gananoque on the shore of the St. Lawrence River and a calmness will wash over you: something that can only be achieved in a town that is completely picturesque (read: waterfront trails, sandy beaches and the famous Boldt Castle on Heart Island) but has yet to fully flourish.
Enter Joe Brennan and Daniel Greenglass of Brennan Custom Homes, two Toronto-based developers who are the creative minds behind a number of luxury custom projects in cities across North America. That said, it’s not often both choose to reside in one of the locations in which they build. The pair fell in love with the small town a few years ago and opted to design and construct their own private cottage on the Thousand Islands.
The developer duo didn’t stop there — the two saw a scenic waterfront community with a rich history that needed to be revitalized. So came the inception of Riverstone Gananoque, a charming condo and townhouse project that will pull more people into the town while still preserving its past.
“We’re not just repurposing the buildings, we’re repurposing the entire town. We’re becoming part of that new energy,” said Brennan. “We feel so lucky to be here because it’s a river community that has heritage and is just starting to develop.”
