Toronto’s Entertainment District has seen tremendous changes in the past few years as several new condo developments have begun to rise on land that was previously occupied by bars, clubs, and parking lots. One of these developments is Studio2 on Richmond by Aspen Ridge Homes. The project, located at the corner of Duncan Street and Nelson Street, has seen quite a lot of growth since we last toured the site.
The 41 storey Quadrangle Architects-designed condo shares the site with the slightly shorter, 31 storey Studio on Richmond tower. Looking at our recent photos, its clear to see just how much progress the development has had since breaking ground in 2012.
While the first tower topped off earlier this year, construction on Studio2 has progressed past the eight storey podium, and is currently on the 15th floor. When construction is completed in winter 2015, the high-rise will house 425 units ranging in size from 601 square feet to 1,357 square feet as well as an 8,000 square foot OCAD gallery space and cafe.
