Douglas Development’s car-free, mixed-use Tenley View has let slip new renderings on the official site.
Located at 4600 Wisconsin Avenue NW in Tenleytown, the project will have 60 rental apartments across 46,830 square feet of residential space on five new levels. The ground and first stories of the existing structure (formerly Babe’s Billiards) will be renovated to create about 13,985 square feet of retail space. Douglas Development acquired the 1949 building in 2009 and won approval to construct the new apartments without parking.
The apartments will have GE Energy Star Certified stainless steel appliances, in-unit front-load washer/dryer and private balconies facing Brandywine Street or Wisconsin Avenue. The project broke ground in April, PoPville reported.
Amenities will include Zipcar parking space, private bike storage and Transit Screen Display in main lobby for Metro, MetroBus and Capital Bikeshare.
The development is pursuing LEED Gold Certification.
