DC is undergoing a mighty big building boom – there are currently 8,004 new homes being built right now, with 7,112 of them condos.
Condos may have the reputation of being small spaces for singles and down-sizers, but there’s one new project that’s truly bucking the trend. Located in Georgetown, 1055 High by EastBanc Inc. has four of the top five largest new homes currently for sale in DC.
What do we know about the Georgetown condo project? Situated at 1055 Wisconsin Avenue Northwest, it’s home to just seven suites, the smallest of which spans 3,423-square feet (including balcony space).
This fancy, fancy project is located between Grace Church and the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal and features views of the canal, the Potomac River and the city. 1055 High is also tricked out with luxurious amenities including a landscaped rooftop terrace, a fully-equipped fitness centre and a 45-foot outdoor heated pool with views of Georgetown, the Potomac River, the Kennedy Center and the Washington Monument.
The units, which feature three to four bedrooms, are equipped with kitchens featuring Boffi cabinetry, Thermador and Miele appliances and quartz or marble counter tops.
The largest suites in the space, 2 East and 3 East, both span 4,303-square feet inside and come with 179-square feet of terrace. That’s a grand total of 4,482-square feet. Check out the floorplans below:
