Earlier this week, Pratt Homes was presented with the Ontario Home Builder’s Award of Distinction for Best New Home Sales Office under 1,500 square feet for their Yonge Station development, located in Barrie.

“We were absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been nominated for the award, but to win among such strong competition was an incredible feeling,” said Heljar Hansen, Co-Owner of Pratt Homes.

Yonge Station is an entirely unique community, incorporating condominiums, townhomes and eight-plexes. On site, Yonge Station boasts captivating art installations by renowned Canadian artist, Ron Baird.

On Wednesday, Yonge Station unveiled its third piece of outdoor art, called Wheelie — a 25 foot tall, 3,800-pound kinetic sculpture that moves with the wind. Wheelie is the third piece of art to be installed, after the Spirit Clock (also by Baird) and the main entrance sign.

“We hope the members of the Yonge Station community will enjoy Wheelie as much as we do,” said Karen Hansen, Co-Owner of Pratt Homes. “Ron really designed a stunning collection of art that will have a lot of impact on Yonge Station and the South End of Barrie.”
