Riverside Square

We’ve been waiting for more details about Riverside Square ever since we first heard that Streetcar Developments was behind the ambitious master-planned community coming to the city’s red-hot east end.

Located at 677 Queen Street East, right near the bridge over the Don Valley River, the new hub will feature a mix of suites, buildings and uses. The residential buildings will be designed by RAW Design and aligned with the existing built form of the area to create a sense of neighbourhood harmony. For the first phase, an eight-storey and 24-storey building will rise at the south end of the site along Eastern Avenue.

The homes will have something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a one-bedroom suite or an expansive three-bedroom plus den residence for your growing family.

What’s more, residents of the new community will enjoy a whole host of new amenities. The project is built on smart urban planning principles and will feature a mix of smaller and larger retail spaces along Queen Street. Future businesses could include a grocery store, cafés, restaurants and general retail. To foster a sense of community, Riverside Square will also be anchored by a public square. Given the project’s name, it’s clear the square and meeting place is meant to be a defining feature of the master-planned community.

There will also be a number of on-site perks including a fitness centre, party lounge, guest suites, pool and rooftop terrace.

Streetcar Developments has become well-known throughout the neighbourhood. Riverside Square will be just down the street from the Broadview Hotel, a landmark that will be restored to its former glory and re-invented as a vibrant public destination.

Suites will start from $239,900 with Phase 1 sales launching this fall. Be sure to register now to stay up to date and get sneak peeks of the community.
