“That’s no home… It’s a space station!”
No, actually Master Kenobi, it is a home, although it certainly evokes the Death Star — as well as a Jawa Sandcrawler, Tatooine moisture farm and any number of other notable Star Wars elements.
Renowned architect Moon Hoon designed and built the suitably named Starwars House for a young South Korean family who wanted more space. As Designboom reports:
The Starwars House delivers on the clients’ needs, by providing open play area for the children and also responding to the husband’s childhood dream of becoming an astronaut.
Other fun features include an indoor slide (we love indoor slides!), secret room (secret rooms too!) and an attic that, according to Moon, “is a place high up that could be a control room for the future Darth Vader or a Jedi.”
Han Solo said it best: “She may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts, kid.”
