We’ve reviewed penthouses in Miami and Ottawa, but now it’s time to turn our attention towards New York, where architect Shigeru Ban has synthesized innovative design in a historic building. Cast Iron House, located in New York’s swanky Tribeca neighbourhood, offers two penthouses, but the grandiose East Penthouse is our favourite.
Location: Tribeca, New York City
Development: Cast Iron House
Developer: Knightsbridge Properties
Architect: Shigeru Ban
Highlight: Telescoping glass walls that allow you to enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of your living room sofa. Basically, glamping in your own home.
