Listen up, Barrie residents: Pratt Homes has just announced the launch date for the final phase of Yonge Station, a new condo and townhouse community that has been garnering buzz all summer. With the first two phases already 70 per cent sold, this will be your final chance to scoop up a suite.

The official launch of phase three, a 72-unit condo building, will take place on Saturday, September 27th at the sales office, located at 39 Madelaine Drive. More good news: you can get a sneak peek of the floorplans and prices before the grand opening by registering online.

The new building, called Grand Central, will boast underground parking, two elevators, oversized balconies and distinct architecture. It’s a nod to the train theme that runs throughout the entire project thanks to its close proximity to the Barrie South GO Station. Yonge Station also speaks to Barrie’s steam train heritage that dates back to the 1800s.

It’s also the only residential project in Barrie that’s decorated with public art installations, all of which have been designed by renowned artist Ron Baird. He was commissioned to create 15 art sculptures that will be displayed throughout the entire site. So far there’s the Spirit Clock at the corner of Yonge Street and Madelaine Drive. Next up? A 3,800 lb., 25-foot-tall kinetic sculpture called Wheelie. The piece has ten moving parts and took almost 200 hours to create.

Once complete, Yonge Station will house a 56-unit condo building, four eight-plexes, six townhome blocks and the final 72-unit building. It’s located at Yonge Street and Madelaine Drive in Barrie.

Prices for available suites start from the low $200,000s and units range in size from 800 to 1,454 square feet.
