As summer turns to fall, cooler weather doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy spending time outdoors. If you live at Downtown Erin Mills Condominiums, a new master-planned residential community by Pemberton Group, your vibrant urban lifestyle would be enhanced by the entire neighbourhood, as just one of its attributes is plenty of green space.
Erin Mills is known for its large number of lush parks and many trails, and this prestigious Mississauga area is considered a walker/jogger and cyclist’s paradise. A testament to the local active lifestyle, the upcoming 7th annual Tour de Mississauga will take place on Sunday, September 21st. Organized by the volunteers of the Mississauga Cycling Advisory Committee, registration is free, and the event is open to all cyclists riding any kind of legal bike – but, minors under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
This year, 3,000 riders are expected, and participants can choose from five routes with varying degrees of length and difficulty from 5km to up 120km. Participants can take advantage of the free barbeque from 11am to 3pm, compliments of the Region of Peel Walk and Roll Program. Register before the September 19th noon deadline.
Another way to get involved in the larger Downtown Erin Mills community is through the Purolator ‘Tackle Hunger’ program that enables Tour de Mississauga riders to conveniently donate food items to the Mississauga Food Bank. Riders can also bring used cycling gear and bicycles for collection to Mississauga Celebration Square (the Tour’s start and finish location) for later charitable distribution.
Located at Eglinton Avenue at Metcalfe Avenue, across from Erin Mills Town Centre, construction is starting soon at Downtown Erin Mills. The community will consist of two sculptural residential towers that will boast a modern sleek exterior. Residents will have a 17,000-square-foot two-storey Recreation Centre, and live amid the developments’ own gardens and pathways.
True to its name, Downtown Erin Mills provides access to the many conveniences of living downtown from a myriad of nearby eateries to retail boutiques and live theatre.
Commuter or not, residents can travel throughout the GTA and surrounding cities with ease. Highways 407, 403 and Erin Mills Parkway are mere minutes away, as are GO Transit routes. And, Eglinton Avenue is slated to be one of the three Mississauga LRT stops.
Prices for available suites start in the low $300,000s and range in size from 580 to 1,343 square feet. Now is your final opportunity for pre-construction pricing, and be sure to ask about limited-time Fall incentives.
