While One World Trade Center’s journey to become the Western hemisphere’s tallest tower may have been a slow one, this impressive time lapse video puts the construction of the New York skyscraper on fast-forward, capturing every step of the six year process in as much time as it takes to cook instant noodles.

The two-minute video was created by Brooklyn-based photographer Benjamin Rosamund, who chronicled the rise of One World Trade Center from when construction first began in 2006 to its official topping off in 2012.

Rigorously selecting 1,100 photos from a total of 30,000, the video kicks off in February 2011 when the tower first began to make its appearance on the New York skyline.
