A new high-rise condominium will soon take shape in Toronto’s upscale Yorkville neighbourhood, and once complete, its modern architectural design is destined to turn heads.
Minto Yorkville Park will sit at 88 Cumberland Street, at the north-east corner of Cumberland and Bellair streets. The 25-storey luxury building will house 200 residential units along with one level of prime retail space that will span 5,700 square feet.
Architect Sol Wassermuhl from IBI Group has been tasked with designing the project — another bullet point on an already impressive resume. The Toronto-based architect has been praised for designing some of the most well-recognized developments in the area, including The Prince Arthur by Minto, Pears and the Hazelton Hotel.
Minto Yorkville is sure to garner similar interest thanks to its curved facade that will set it apart from other buildings in the area. Combine this with a sought-after location, innovative interiors and sustainable features (the tower will use existing infrastructure) and it’s safe to say the new high-rise is the complete package.
Aside from being situated in the heart of Yorkville with a wealth of designer boutiques and high-end restaurants, Minto Yorkville will be adjacent to the Village of Yorkville Park and three subway station entrances, including the Yonge-Bloor subway line. Not surprisingly, the new address received a Walk Score of 100.
The building’s amenities also speak to the social atmosphere of the neighbourhood. Residences can look forward to 24/7 concierge, a well-equipped fitness centre, party room, and catering kitchen fit for entertaining.
In addition to The Prince Arthur private residences on Avenue Road, the developer has also been applauded for building Minto Yorkville, a smartly-designed apartment building located on Yorkville Avenue.
Prices for available units start from $389,900.
