Copeland House Groundbreaking Less than a week after Skyline made headlines for acquiring Bear Valley Mountain Resort in Northern California, the Toronto-based developer has made news again by officially breaking ground on Building One of Horseshoe Copeland House.

Situated at 1101 Horseshoe Valley Road West in Barrie, the four-storey resort community has proven popular with buyers, as phase one of the development is already 80 per cent sold.

When complete, Horseshoe Copeland House will boast year-round amenities that cater to everyone from outdoor enthusiasts to adrenaline junkies and those just looking to kick and relax in the resort-style amenities.

“Snow-loving residents will live at the base of the ski hill, and will have easy access to 29 alpine ski and snowboard runs on the property,” said Skyline CEO Michael Sneyd. “There are also more than 52 all-season resort activities and amenities within walking distance of the condominium.

When not skiing in the winter or perfecting your swing on the resort’s golf course in the summer, you can enjoy scenic hikes through 67 kilometers of Nordic trailers, letting off some steam at the saunas and getting pampered at the Shizen Spa and Salon. Family-friendly amenities include horseback riding, mini-golf and rock-climbing, among others.

Horseshoe Copeland Houserepresents the first time in over 25 years that buyers are able to snag their own piece of real estate in Horseshoe Village. “This is an exciting step in the realization of our plans for Horseshoe Village,” said Skyline President Gil Blutrich.

Suites can sleep four to six people and will feature top-notch finishes including hardwood floors, breakfast bars, granite kitchen countertops and a gas fireplace.

Slopeside properties start from just $219,900 and units range in size from 540 to 1,000 square feet.

Skyline‘s Lakeside Lodge (pictured below) in Muskoka’s historict Deerhurst Resort has also garnered much attention from buyers. Currently in the registration phase, the year-round lakeside development is set to take shape in Canada’s cottage country.
