Whether on their way to work or heading to a power-lunch with colleagues, Torontonians walking through the city’s financial district are now greeted by a charming art display at the 88 Scott construction site.
Situated at Scott and Wellington, the hoarding that extends across one side of the Concert work site and features illustrations from local artists colourfully depicting life in downtown TO. Accompanying the paintings are inspiring quotes from famous writers, politicians and artists.
The 58-storey tower broke ground earlier in March and construction is estimated to be complete by 2016. Careful to preserve the 1951 Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Building that previously stood on the site, Concert plans to integrate the former building’s limestone and granite components into 88 Scott’s facade.
