Walk down Adelaide Street in Toronto and you’ll spot just as many construction sites as you will bars and restaurants. One of the residential developments gaining the most attention as of late is The Bond Condos, a new condo tower that will soon rise 40 storeys at 290 Adelaide Street West, near John Street.
We stopped by the site this week to take a peek at the tower’s progress. What we learned: the construction crew is making significant headway and the development has reached ground level. Compare these images to the photos we snapped in October, where the project was still a deep hole in the ground.
Once complete, The Bond by Lifetime Developments will house 369 units that range from one-, two- and three-bedroom suites along with grand penthouses. The contemporary building, designed by Core Architects, will be clad in glass and steel materials with balconies and terraces that help play up its modern facade. The project will also house an 8th floor amenity space, complete with a spacious fitness and yoga area, pool with hot tub and sun lounge.
Available units range in price from $371,900 to $3,399,900 and in size from 640 to 5,178 square feet.
