Canary rendering As the PanAm Games clock feverishly counts down to the opening ceremony, Dundee Kilmer Developments Limited and Waterfront Toronto are already making plans for after the Games when Canary District transitions from athletes village to mixed-use residential community.

The grand opening event for Canary Park, the newest phase of the master-planned development, has already been set for August 9th at 12pm at 398 Front Street East at Cherry Street. Interested buyers are invited to join in the celebrations and get a closer look into the developers’ extraordinary vision, which earned them the 2014 BILD Community of the Year award.

An ensemble of condo towers, townhomes and ground-floor retail space, Canary Park is located near the 18-acre Corktown Common Park at Cherry Street and Front Street East on the banks of the Don River.

In a neighbourhood that will be best explored by foot, the future Front Street promenade will serve as the community centrepiece. Lined with greenery and boasting an eclectic mix of shopping, dining, public art, sports and cultural facilities, the promenade will extend over 46,000 square feet. Toronto’s largest YMCA will also be just steps away from the condo project.

Canary Park will be connected to more than just downtown Toronto. The community will feature an ultra-high-speed broadband community network with next-generation fibre-optic technology, neighbourhood Wi-Fi and unlimited Internet service with speeds up to four times as fast as typical residential networks.

Sit back and relax with a drink in hand at the Distillery District, just minutes away, or head to the world renowned St. Lawrence Market and tantalize your taste buds with its colourful mix of meat vendors, gourmet cheese shops and fruit and vegetable markets.

Getting out and about Canary Park will be easy thanks to the new streetcar line running through the neighbourhood and its links to nearby highways.

Suites range in size from 406 to 1,281 square feet and start at the mid $200,000s.
