The Moinian Group is set to file permits for its 66-story, 1,050-foot-tall skyscraper in the Hudson Yards district.
Mixed-use project 3 Hudson Boulevard, which includes retail, commercial and potentially residential space, will rise on a full-block site, Crain’s reported. Located at West 34th and Eleventh Avenue, the new 1.8 million-square-foot development will share part of its foundation with the new terminus of the No. 7 train, which is anticipated to open next year.
The foundation is scheduled to be built up to grade by the fall of next year, with the tower slated to top out in 2018. The energy efficient spire, designed by FXFOWLE Architects’ Dan Kaplan, will twist to maximize sunlight and views. The LEED Platinum-seeking building will offer high ceilings, column-free floor plates and 360-degree views.
