The Connolly Hamilton

Downtown living comes with many perks, but the allure of the urban lifestyle largely hinges on accessibility. The Connolly, a new Hamilton project by Stanton Renaissance, is well-situated for those who prefer walking, biking or taking public transit.

Located at 98 James Street South, the convenience of the location is considerable. If you’re taking a trip outside of town, there are plenty of transit options to choose from at the Hamilton GO Centre, which is literally down the street from The Connolly.

Seconds away, the Hunter Street hub includes both train and bus service, which means you can easily get to Oakville, Burlington, or Guelph, or even grab one of the Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) buses for transit across town. While there’s also an express GO bus that travels to downtown Toronto’s Union Station, connections to the city will become even easier with the new James Street North GO Station, which is currently under construction.

Just a 15 minute walk from the the new mixed-use building, the James Street North station will be on GO Transit’s Lakeshore West line and bring more commuter trains in and out of the city each day, with two trips to Toronto in both the morning and in the afternoon. The new hub will also include connections to the HSR and come equipped with a wealth of bike parking as well.

Local business leaders are looking forward to the hub and expect new shops and services to pop up in the area. The neighbourhood will not only see a burst of transit activity but a more animated street life once offices, cafes and other businesses set up shop.

The James Street North GO station will also be connected to the public realm thanks to a large, outdoor plaza. The first phase is expected to be ready for the Pan Am Games in 2015.

The 30-storey structure’s address also earned an impressive 98 out of 100 Walk Score. It’s considered a “walker’s paradise,” where you can take care of all your daily errands on foot.

Investing in The Connolly means investing in a corner of Hamilton that is clearly on the rise. Mixing old with new, the multi-use structure will be the perfect vantage point for witnessing the neighbourhood’s dynamic future.
