canvas miami With the new construction market in Miami seeing an incredible resurgence over the last few years, the Arts and Entertainment District has emerged as a symbol of the city’s future as a cultural hot spot.

While the neighbourhood lacks the overt luxurious, resort-style atmosphere of South Beach, those who will inhabit the new buildings planned for the area will be drawn to it as they search for a different type of lifestyle.

Culturally savvy, exciting and hip, the Arts and Entertainment District’s future residents will be young professionals and artistically-inclined individuals looking to take advantage of the area’s up-and-coming shopping, dining, music and art scenes. It’s home to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and is strongly influenced by the nearby Wynwood Art District. The neighbourhood sits just south of Edgewater, so residents will also be ready to take advantage of downtown Miami’s other essential areas.

On a recent visit to Miami sponsored by 3A Worldwide, the BuzzBuzzHome News team had the opportunity to learn more about two new developments by NR Investments being built in the neighbourhood.

First we checked out The Filling Station, a new rental building that was nearly complete as we toured its industrial-influenced suites. All the suites have been snapped up, but if you’re in the market for a rental in Miami, this is definitely one to keep an eye on.

While we scoped out The Filling Station, we also learned more about Canvas Miami, another NR Investments development planned for the neighbourhood. With 513 units in 37 storeys, Canvas will make its mark on the rapidly changing area.

Inside the development will feature units ranging in size from 620 to 1,110 square feet with the typical unit averaging 895 square feet in size. Residents will enjoy waterfront and city views from the rooftop sundeck and, for when the weather really heats up, taking a dip in the Canvas pool.

Canvas also will boast a 24-hour valet service, a full time concierge and pool-side attendants.
