Renderings: The Seventh Art via theoosten.com
Oo, there it is: The Oosten at 429 Kent Avenue in South Williamsburg has released its full site.
Dutch wonder Piet Boon designed the 216-unit development, which takes up the entire block. Think Architecture and WASA Architects collaborated on the building’s facade, which features gunmetal framed windows and brick as a nod to the Williamsburg Bridge and the area’s industrial history. The entire international shebang is brought to you by Xin Development Group International.
There are seven types of residences — townhouses, duplexes (as shown in the rendering up top), floor-through lofts, one-, two- and three-bedrooms and penthouses. Interiors, which come with a choice of light or dark finishes, have 10″-wide plank hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, Viking and Smeg appliances and ceiling heights that begin at 10 feet. The living spaces range from 25 to 31 feet wide, and many units have multiple casement windows that open onto the landscaped courtyard. You can check out the floorplans here.
The three- and four-bedroom townhouses dot the north and south side of the building. Each measures 25 feet wide, with a private entrance, 10-foot ceilings, custom millwork, his and hers master suite closets, en suite baths and direct access to a private enclosed garage. The kitchen with pantry looks over a private garden area with individual plunge pool (!).
The penthouses, located on the top two floors of the building, are duplex homes measuring more than 5,000 square feet. The five- and six-bedroom residences tout en-suite baths, top-floor kitchens with terraces and plunge pools and private elevators leading to individual garages. Penthouse glimpse below:
In terms of amenities, there are two lobbies, a 24-hour concierge, courtyard, landscaped rooftop with reflecting pool and outdoor grills, an inside lap pool, gym with spa, lounge and children’s playroom. Residents can also get private parking, private storage and bike storage at an additional fee.
Halstead Property Development Marketing is handling sales at the building.
