mi'x condos

Mondev Condos Urbain is behind quite a number of Montreal buildings. Just how far reaching is their expertise? President David Owen has been active in both residential and commercial construction for more than twenty years, and has delivered some 2,600 condos as well as several commercial properties.

The developer has a number of projects currently on the go so we thought we’d zero in on some of the unique aspects of their building philosophy. Take a look:

They understand what people love about urban living

City life means convenience, with so many shops, restaurants and businesses in the core. Depending on the neighbourhood, it can be easy to walk to work, bike around town or take public transit to your destination for a hassle-free commute. In order to encourage the eco-friendly and economical lifestyle so popular among urbanites, Mondev recently teamed up with Voyagez-Futé, la Société de transport de Montréal (STM), Communauto and BIXI-Montréal for “Le Passeport mobilité”. It allows developers to gift one-year passports to home buyers who’ll enjoy a one year BIXI subscription, an OPUS card for STM routes as well as a package from the popular car-sharing network Communauto.

They’re all about revitalization

If you consider at the many, many new structures Mondev has brought to the city’s streets, you’ll see a trend: a number of these projects are in up-and-coming neighbourhoods. The builder is doing its part to help animate areas that are coming into their own. Understanding the potential of Mile-X, they’ve launched MI’X 28 at Jean Talon Street West and Rue Waverly (pictured above). As the Lachine Canal undergoes revitalization, Mondev will add more residents to the burgeoning neighbourhood with project such as L’Alcove sur le Woonerf and Bome Condos.

They know you want to see it all

Sales centre and model suites are de rigueur, but Mondev understands how important it is to get the full picture of what your future home will look like. At L’Alcove sur le Woonerf, there are three separate models to help you get a better sense of the condo, which is located at St. Remi and Ste. Ambroise. Phase 1 of the project features 55 suites available in studios, 1, 2, and 3-bedroom plans.

They get that convenience is key

What’s the most important aspect of real estate? Location, location, location! Mondev situates its condos next to great area amenities. Metro access is a boon for anyone choosing a new home and An-X, located at Rue Hochelaga and Rue Hogan, is steps from the Station Préfontaine while  Le Rockland Outremont is down the street from the Outremont subway station. For those who work at Centre hospitalier de l’université de Montréal (CHUM), Glo Condos is right in the neighbourhood, as is Oxford Condos. Meanwhile, Quartier-Berri is close to UQAM and McGill universities as well as Old Montreal.
