After eight long years of designing, planning and construction, the Pathe Foundation’s Paris headquarters is nearly complete.
Designed by award-winning architect Renzo Piano, the exterior of the bulbous structure is made up of glass shielded from the sun by a system of metal panels.
Tuck away on a historic Parisian city block, the building looks as though it’s slithering out of its neighbor’s facade. Inside, curved wood beams encase the foundation’s archives, offices, exhibition spaces and a 70-seat screening room.
The official grand opening is scheduled for September.
