It was a noteworthy day for the Aurora community on Tuesday, as people gathered to celebrate the launch of Aurora Trails, a new master-planned development created by four of the GTA’s most experienced builders.
Mayor Geoffrey Dawe, along with other members of council, were all in attendance to show their support before heading outside to take part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Mayor of Aurora also briefly took to the stage, pointing toward the project’s nature-oriented features, like an extensive trail system that will wind around the community.
“The trail’s allocation of 15.8 kilometres is actually over and above what was originally envisioned for this,” he said. “So that’s really the type of development community that’s coming in to work with us in Aurora.”
The developers are reserving 40 per cent of the community for public green space, including parklands and storm water management ponds.
And when four well-respected builders — Paradise Developments, Arista Homes, Fieldgate Homes and Opus Homes — collaborate together, chances are people will pay attention. Case in point: thousands of people have already registered for the preview open house that will take place this weekend, on June 7th and 8th between 11am and 5pm.
All four developers will swing open their sales centre doors to give registrants the chance to preview their selection of luxury singles, semis and townhomes. While no purchase offers will be accepted on the weekend, interested buyers can go online on June 8th at 6pm to arrange an appointment with their builder of choice.
