Long Island City rental 26-14 Jackson Avenue is poised for launch.
The 98-unit project between 44th Drive and Purves Street will have studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Pricing will range from approximately $1,500 per month to $5,500 per month, according to the teaser site. The 14-story building will have about 4,835 square feet of retail at the base. Ekstein Development and L+M Development Partners collaborated on the project; the architect of record is GF55 Partners.
Of the units, 20 percent will be reserved for affordable housing. Amenities include a furnished roof deck, virtual doorman, bike storage, gym and laundry facilities.
The site, formerly a Dykes Lumber building, traded in December 2011 for $6.825 million, according to public records. Demolition permits were filed for the structure in July 2012.
All the scaffolding came down in April, according to The Court Square Blog, which has construction shots of the building.
