East River Partners has revealed a preliminary vision for its new development of a historic assemblage in Fort Greene.

The developer is planning two four-story buildings at 171 South Portland Avenue and 164 South Oxford Street, as we reported in late January. Rising 50 feet tall, the pair of buildings will have a total of 14 apartments — five units at 164 South Oxford and nine at 171 South Portland, according to permits filed January 30th.

According to East River Partners’ site, the developer will transform the property into an “architecturally sensitive residential community.” Barry Rice Architects is the architect of record.

The site consists of two parcels — an Italianate 1865 townhouse and carriage house at 164 South Oxford and a garage at 171 South Portland. Belgian artist Marc Lambrechts bought the compound in 2000 and then sold it to East River Partners for $7.5 million last year.
