Who’s afraid of a Virginia Woolf pun? Not us. The Light House at 325 Degraw Street in Carroll Gardens is on the market with an asking price of $6.5 million.
The newly renovated 5,800-square-foot townhouse measures 25 feet wide, with five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and a 800-square-foot landscaped garden, plus terraces and a roof deck, according to the official site. The restored brick facade has navy and lavender highlights, as well as a wooden accent wall and front garden.
The interiors include a living room with a six-foot-wide gas fireplace and a kitchen with 21-foot ceilings, custom Italian cabinetry, Miele appliances and grey marble countertops. The master bathroom touts its own 125-square-foot terrace and walk-in closet, while the bathrooms come with porcelain tile floors, Travertine stone walls, steam showers and freestanding soaking tubs.
The garden is fitted with an automated irrigation system, Viking grill/kitchenette, boxed planters and Ipe wood deck/fencing. Residents also get a virtual doorman system.
The existing three-unit, three-story building was converted into a single-family house, with a one-story vertical addition and a horizontal rear expansion, according to permits filed in October 2012.
Occupancy is projected for Fall 2014. Douglas Elliman is marketing the property. Renderings below, starting with this wild cutaway image:
