Construction is unabashedly active at Flank’s 224 Mulberry Street.
The Nolita development’s seven residences will have “unapologetically high” prices from $6 million to $30 million, or over $3,500 per square feet, the New York Times reported in October 2013.
Cement trucks were all over the site when we stopped by last week. The eight-story building will feature living rooms with 25-foot ceilings, unobstructed views from upper-floor units and Art Deco detailing, such as black and white penny-round mosaic bathroom floors. The exterior will be wrapped in Roman brick on the first four levels, while the top floors will boast cast stone and brick set back 10 feet.
Accordingly, every unit will have private terrace space, as well as a common roof deck.
Residents will get elevator-access below-grade parking, and all condos will come with at least one parking space. A 24-hour doorman will be on hand to park cars.
Construction will be completed in August 2014, according to signage.
