17 East 12th Street

A teaser site is out for glam parking garage conversion 17 East 12th Street.

The 11-story Greenwich Village development will offer full-floor residences measuring 4,500 square feet, according to the site. Let’s repeat that: 4,500 square feet for each apartment.

The developer is Rigby Asset Management, and Bromley Caldari Architects is the architect of record. Permits were filed in July 2013 and approved last month.

Rising 137 feet, the building will have 43,914 square feet of residential space and 4,541 square feet of commercial space. YIMBY has posted on-site renderings of the project here.

Rigby purchased the eight-story brick garage last year for $50.24 million, The Real Deal reported. The seller was The Brauser Group, one of Manhattan’s biggest garage owners.

Douglas Elliman will be marketing the property.
