The Carnaby exterior

Purchasing a home for the first time can be just as daunting an experience as it is a delightful one. Mark Anderson and his partner, Marco Vessio know this all too well after recently deciding to buy their first condominium.

While searching, the pair knew to consider every detail — from the neighbourhood features to the floorplan layouts and builder reputation. Then they stumbled across The Carnaby at Queen and Gladstone in Toronto.

Anderson and Vessio were instantly drawn to the neighbourhood’s eclectic and artistic vibe, not to mention its 24-hour streetcar service and the seemingly endless number of eateries and retail boutiques.

In short, Streetcar Developments is well-versed in knowing how to make a project stand out. The Carnaby will join three of the developer’s other new projects — 8 Gladstone, 2 Gladstone and TWENTY — in becoming part of a master-planned community in Toronto’s Queen West neighbourhood.

The mid-rise loft communities will also be linked by The Row, a landscaped esplanade that is pedestrian and cyclist friendly. For added convenience, a Metro grocery store will be built on site.

When they’re not grocery shopping to cook a fine meal at home, Anderson says they enjoy scoping out trendy restaurants and watering holes that offer a quirky ambiance and delicious food. They’ve already discovered their go-to pizza place.

The couple was also careful to select a suite design with top-notch features and finishes. In doing so, they got a taste of the standout service provided by the Streetcar team. According to Anderson, their sales rep even took out a floorplan of their one-bedroom plus den unit to help them lay out their furniture.

The development is currently under construction at 11 Peel Avenue in Toronto. Available suites start from $229,900 and units range in size from 433 to 935 square feet.
