Sometimes when a developer has a number of different projects on the go, it can be a little hard to see the forest for the trees. We’re taking a step back to get a better perspective of Belcourt, a Montreal-based builder that is bringing a variety of different projects to the city. Here are a few facts we dug up about some of the projects they have on the go and their history in the region.

A builder with pedigree

Belcourt has been in the trade for an astonishing sixty years. Started in 1954 by by David and Michael Zunenshine, the company was named for charming town in Central France. The company’s first projects were flats and apartment buildings in the Montreal suburb of Ville St-Laurent. However, it expanded its scope considerably, focusing on planning and building residential communities such as Kirkland in Montreal’s West Island and Dollard des Ormeaux – now known as industry models.

Location, location, location

Neighbourhood amenities are key considerations for condo buyers. Many of Belcourt’s undertakings feature easy access to transit options. Cube Condos, located at 5360 Sherbrooke St W., is steps from thee metro with easy access to the Station Vendôme. At 1235 Bishop St., Flex Condos is situated near Station Guy-Concordia plus Station Lucien-L’Allie. And Rythme, located near downtown Montreal at 366 Rue Mayor, is just down the street from Station McGill and Station Place-des-Arts,

Institutional appeal

If you’re looking to live close to work or school, Belcourt projects are also right in the neighbourhood of a number of key employment areas. For example, Cube Condos is adjacent to the new McGill University Health Centre. Whether you’re a professor or an investor hoping to rent out your suite, owning a condo near Concordia University is quite a smart move and Flex Condos is right in the neighbourhood. Rythme Condos’ central location puts it walking distance to Complexe Desjardins as well as the The Musee d’art contemporain de Montreal.

Great greens

Montreal is known for its sprawling parks and Belcourt knows how important it is to have access to green space when you live in an urban setting. The majestic Mount Royal is not far north of both Flex and Rythme Condos. The second largest park in the city, Westmount Park, is right around the corner from Cube Condos. Enjoy foot paths, fountains, ponds and tennis courts down the street from your home.

Each of the Belcourt projects is home to a variety of suite sizes and layouts.
