Update 2:20pm: Well, that was quick — a tipster sent us an aerial shot of the site. Catch that context below.
A 21-story, 240-room hotel could grace 432 West 31st Street in the Hudson Yards area.
Stonehill & Taylor, the design firm behind The NoMad Hotel and Ace Hotel, is the architect of record for the hospitality project between Ninth and Tenth avenues. The building will measure 95,355 square feet, with 12 hotel rooms on each floor, according to the plan exam application filed today.
The developer is Arisa Realty Company LLC, which snatched up the property in August 2013 for a little over $11 million, according to public records. The site is currently home to a four-story commercial building. A tipster sent us an aerial shot of the 42-foot-wide lot. The big brown 16-story building looming above the site is an FIT dorm:
Stonehill & Taylor has also been commissioned to design another Midtown West hotel at 320 West 36th Street. That project by Raber Enterprises will rise 28 stories tall on three adjacent commercial lots.
