Trust us when we say Manhattan Upper West Side in Barrie is a development to watch this year. The new mid-rise condo community by Pratt Homes was recently named one of the most notable sites in Ontario by the Toronto Sun.
This is partly thanks to the fact that 13 units were snatched up in a 30-day period between December and January. The development is also named after New York City’s upscale residential neighbourhood in Manhattan.
The residential community will consist of three 48-unit condo buildings — named Rockefeller, Empire and Bloomingdale — that each pay homage to the affluent New York neighbourhood.
The outdoor amenity area will also bear a resemblance to the Big Apple by emulating the Tavern on the Green restaurant in Central Park. While the condo project won’t come with an eatery, it will have a similar charming courtyard and row of chess tables.
Manhattan Upper West Side, located at 40 Ferndale Drive South, will also boast a children’s playground, along with an outdoor running track that circles a small body of water. Those who want to explore their surroundings further can head across the street to the eco park before driving to the nearby waterfront or downtown core. Residents will also have easy access to ski slopes and a number of golf courses. Bring on the summer!
The suites themselves will range from 606 to 1,464 square feet and will feature oversized windows and spacious balconies. The well-appointed spaces will also be decked out with deluxe cabinets, double stainless steel sinks and a glass front entry door.
