When it was announced last November that Lifetime Developments was acquiring the site of the World’s Biggest Bookstore, it was unclear what the developer had planned for the space that houses the iconic Toronto store.

A press release distributed today by Paracom Realty Corporation, a Toronto-based commercial brokerage, shed some light on at least a part of Lifetime’s intentions with the 64,000 square foot site on Edward Street near the Eaton Centre.

According to the release, the developer is “envisioning an exciting and transformational new restaurant row for the site that will be ready in time for TIFF 2015.”

The new multi-level space will be designed by Turner Fleischer Architects and feature up to four restaurants with 250 feet of frontage.

The release also announced that Paracom Realty would be the exclusive listing/leasing broker for the property. A website is now live with floorplans and other key info for prospective tenants and brokers.

The World’s Biggest Bookstore is slated to be vacated by April.
