Forget about Singles Awareness Day; we’re bitter that we’re not the owners of this customized apartment at The Printing House in West Village.

Workshop/apd, which oversaw the design of the 60-unit luxury conversion, was hired by a resident to bespoke-ify an individual unit. The centerpiece of the custom residence, currently under construction, is a suspended, translucent library platform. The stairs appear to radiate from the double-height bookcase itself, for a perfect mix of sci-fi sinuousness and warm stateliness.

The design force is strong within the entire 421 Hudson Street project, which has one- to four-bedroom apartments with white oak floors, 11-foot windows, double-height living rooms, open layouts and immaculate kitchens with Caesarstone countertops and Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances.

Here are the latest model unit shots from the official site. We’re growing more and more bitter by the moment.
