The 1 Yorkville presentation centre, with its luxury furnishings and glossy black accents, is a direct nod to the striking exterior that will soon make up Bazis Inc. and Plaza’s upscale residential tower.
Brokers from across the city crowded into the new presentation centre this week, located at 162 Cumberland Avenue in Toronto, to learn more about the highly sought-after development.
We caught the tail-end of the event, but heard word that attendees packed into the space as soon as the doors swung open.
Designed by award-winning architect Rosario Varacalli, the 58-storey high-rise at Yorkville Avenue and Yonge Street will boast an ultra-modern facade with a faceted metallic, ribbon-inspired design.

Bazis and Plaza have also taken on-site amenities to a new level of extravagance. The fourth floor will be the designated spa space, complete with a large outdoor pool, hot tub, hot-and-cold plunge pools and an open-air terrace. This is in addition to the aqua massage, juice bar, dance studio and yoga room.
Head to the fifth floor and you’ll instantly be inspired to exercise. The fitness level houses a CrossFit studio, pilates space and additional fitness room with weights and cardio machines. You can also expect to find a games room and Wi-Fi lounge.
The main showpiece, however, is the project’s deluxe rooftop. Aside from striking cityscape views, residents can take advantage of the outdoor cinema, two party rooms equipped with kitchens, a fire-pit lounge and multi-media space.
The luxury condo will also offer a 24-hour concierge service to help residents with their daily needs — whether it be booking concert tickets, picking up dry cleaning or providing pet care.
Suites range in size from 451 to 1,779 square feet.
