Here’s another addition to the bustling NoMad development scene: A 20-story hotel is coming up on 292 Fifth Avenue.
The 206-foot-tall building will have 142 units, with 42,495 square feet of commercial space and 9,561 square feet of residential. Rawlings Architects is the architect of record, according to permits spotted by YIMBY.
There will be 130 hotel rooms on floors 2 to 14, capped by 12 residences on floors 15 to 18. The entire 19th floor will be devoted to recreation space. The developer is DDG (but not that DDG of 345 Meatpacking and 100 Franklin Street).
Demolition permits were filed early last month for the existing six-story structure at the site between West 30th and West 31st streets. The place was formerly home to Svenningsen’s, a seafood restaurant.
