This wooden table weighs only 10 pounds — or 4.5 kilos, earning its German name kleinergleich5, which means “less than five.”
The extremely thin table top is supported by a 1.1-inch lattice and four removable wooden legs. According to designer Ruben Beckers, it is “probably the lightest wooden table in the world.”
As Dezeen reports, the table was designed during the Wood*Transformation project at Kassel School of Art and Design, and is currently on display as part of the [D3] Design Talents exhibition at imm cologne — so unfortunately it cannot be bought. But if the design ever does hit market, you can look forward to lifting it up one-handed and impressing dinner guests with your seemingly super-human strength.
