Future residents of The College will be able to do their grocery shopping very, very close to home.
Tribute Communities confirmed on Monday that the new development, currently in pre-construction at Spadina and College, will house a store under the Loblaw banner.
Banners that operate under Loblaw in Ontario include Loblaws, Valu-Mart, No Frills and Fortinos. It has yet to be confirmed which banner the store will operate under.
Speaking to Global News, Steve Deveux, Tribute’s Vice President of Land Development, said the company signed a contract with Loblaw to open a “community-sized grocery store.” The store will occupy 20,000 square feet mainly on the second floor of The College site.
The completion date for development is set for Winter/Spring 2016. Prices start at $343,990.
