st dominique Though Condominiums St Dominique already has an enviable location in downtown Montreal, exciting new additions to the neighbourhood prove this part of the city is just getting better and better.

Located at 115 Boulevard Saint-Laurent, the building will be just two blocks from a game-changing development by the Societe de developpement Angus (SDA). In December, they announced plans to built a 47,500 square metre project that will help revitalize the St-Dominique neighbourhood.

The mixed-use project will be bordered by Monument-National, Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Sainte-Catherine and Clark Streets. Residents of Condominiums St Dominique will surely appreciate the open-plan food market that will take up the entire ground floor of the SDA development. Styled after the beloved Atwater Market, the space will feature some 40 independent food shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs.

Just above the food space, the first floor will be allocated for cultural uses, while the other corners will be home to 150 residential units.

It will also be a place of work for Montrealers: on the south side, the building will be topped off with 8 floors of office space. The provincial government is on board with the SDA development and has signed a 25-year lease that will bring 700 government workers into the space. Ground will be broken on the office tower in the fall of 2014.

Aside from this ambitious project, the area is already home to a new cultural hub. The 2-22, located at Saint-Laurent and Sainte-Catherine, is just down the street from the St-Dominique. Launched in 2012, it features a variety of cultural organizations including an arts centre, bookstore, gallery, a community radio station and restaurants too.

It all adds up to a lively neighbourhood with a very bright future. To be part of that evolution, check out St-Dominique. The DevMcGill project is a unique take on condo living, mixing heritage exteriors with modern interiors.

Suites start from $226,000.
