geranium homes donation

Not only does Geranium Homes build well-designed and innovative new homes and communities, it also knows the importance of contributing to the neighbourhoods in which it builds.

The award-winning builder recently presented Habitat for Humanity, Northumberland with a $5,500 cheque to help this organization’s fund-raising campaign to construct affordable homes within Port Hope.

“Geranium Homes is an example of someone who builds beautiful homes for families, yet also recognizes the need to partner with us to provide affordable homes for those who may not otherwise enjoy home ownership,” said Meaghan Macdonald, Habitat Northumberland’s Executive Director who accepted the cheque.

Habitat aims to raise $75,000 to build its seventh home in Port Hope, which will be its 44th property in Northumberland County. Thanks to Geranium’s charitable donation, the campaign has kicked off with a bang.

When Geranium first launched sales for The Verandas, an all-new bungalow community on Marsh Road in Port Hope, the company committed to donate $100 for every home sold to support Habitat.

And the builder is just getting started — it expects to make another donation next year when the second phase nears completion.

Care to learn more about The Verandas? Geranium has created three fully furnished model homes open to the public. It’s the perfect way to get a feel for the design before committing to a move. We suggest you visit the sales centre pronto. It’s located on Marsh Road just west of Toronto Street.

You’ll also get to choose between 10 different floor plans, with two- and three-bedroom options available. The bungalows range in size from 1,118 to 2,397 square feet and phase two prices start from $277,900.

The development will boast a landscaped park with walking trails, covered front porches on each lot and a gazebo that overlooks the pond. Port Hope’s charming downtown area is also minutes away.
