Last week we looked at how major Canadian cities were experiencing the price gap between two housing opposites: the two-storey house and the condo. Using stats from Royal LePage’s third quarter report, we measured just how big the difference was, cross-country.

But now we want to check how the gap’s changed over the years. Digging up past quarterly reports, we’ve charted the course of third quarter prices over the last three years.

Here’s how five major metros along the West Coast and in the Prairies fared:

Vancouver price difference condo house

Victoria house and condo price difference

Calgary price diffference house condo

Edmonton Q3 Price difference

Winnipeg price difference condo house
