The folks at Geranium Homes didn’t need to be reminded that the last weekend was a time to be thankful. The developer wrapped up its September food drive at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank earlier this month, raising a total of $10,630!
When it comes to fundraising events, the homebuilder certainly isn’t a novice. Geranium has led the fall drive for five consecutive years with the support of staff members, consultants and others involved in The Neighbourhoods of Cardinal Point project in Stouffville. For every Cardinal Point home sold in the past year, Geranium donated $50 to the food bank.
Buyers also became part of the tight-knit community by delivering food items to the Cardinal Point sales centre throughout the month. Who says you have to first move into a place before you learn about the surrounding area?
At the end of September, Food Bank Executive Marion Wells and Whitchurch-Stouffville Mayor Wayne Emmerson presented the cheque at Cardinal Point. Take a look below:
Besides The Neighbourhoods of Cardinal Point project, Geranium recently unveiled Uptownes, a new urban-style condo in Stouffville’s scenic ravine community. The neighbourhood will house 134 condo towns, ranging in size from 1,401 to 1,639 square feet. Need some privacy? Homeowners will have access to their own, private rooftop terrace.
Main Street’s popular shops, cultural venues and restaurants surround the community, which is also close to Highway 404 and 407 and the Markham Stouffville Hospital.
Prices start from $394,900.
