Midtown Toronto’s new landmark structure, E Condos, is proving that life at Yonge and Eglinton has never been so popular. The first phase of the project by Bazis Inc., Metropia Urban Landscapes and RioCan is 85 per cent sold out.
The two-tower undertaking will re-imagine the famous corner of Toronto, bringing a bold new mix of residential, retail and office space to the northeast part of the intersection. E Condos will be releasing its commercial space shortly and construction will kick off early in 2014.
The project makes the most of its location. The integration of multiple types of space into the buildings as the well the direct access to the subway reflects the urban nature of the project. The neighbourhhood is a mix of homes, work places and retail options and the design by R. Varacalli Architect gets the district’s dynamic. It’s designed with city living in mind.
A number of eco-friendly features will have also been integrated into the project. The high-performance thermal envelope minimizes solar gain and heat loss and daylight sensors will be set up in key parts of the building to reduce electricity costs. Within the suites, there are energy-saving appliances and water wise fixtures.
The project may be conveniently situated in the heart of midtown, yet there’s little reason to leave: the amenities have just about everything you could ask for. How many condos come with a gourmet kitchen and boxing studio? There’s also an on-site yoga and pilates studio, sauna, technology lounges and so much more.
Suites start from the $300,000s.
