The sun was beaming in the city on Tuesday, and just like most of us, the Studio construction team was taking full advantage of the weather. We happened to be in the area, so decided to pay the site a visit and snap a few pictures. The new condo and townhouse project by Aspen Ridge Homes, located on Richmond Street West and Duncan Street, has certainly come a long way since it broke ground last year. Have a look for yourself below!
It won’t be long until the two-tower development reaches the height of the above crane. Studio 2 will stretch to 41 storeys, while the accompanying Studio on Richmond tower will stand 31-storeys tall. What’s unique about the development, you ask? For starters, it will feature an 8,000 square foot space devoted to OCAD students to help them unleash their creative side.
And with great artistry comes a distinct and stylish facade, of course. Quadrangle Architects designed the building to resemble four boxes stacked on top of one another. Not creative enough for you? Vibrant splashes of colour will also be displayed on the top and bottom of the towers. Add a sixth-floor rooftop lounge and party room to the palette, and it pretty much becomes the Van Gogh of all condo projects.
