Though Condominiums St Dominique are grounded in Montreal history, the DevMcGill undertaking is not afraid of new ventures. Its sales centre at 2115 St-Laurent Blvd. just opened its doors.

The new centre comes in time for the Visites Libres d’Automne, which will be continue during the weekend of October 26th and 27th. If you’re planning to visit all of the DevMcGill projects participating in the open house extravaganza, take note that its convenient downtown location is just steps from the St Laurent Metro.

The original structure was built in 1894 and once housed the Ekers Brewery, owned by industrialist and politician Henry Archer Ekers. The new 67-suite boutique building will maintain the historic space and keep the exterior stone facade in its original form. A new building will also be added to the side of the existing structure.

The building was singled out by the city as having “exceptional heritage value,” yet the living spaces will be fully contemporary and comfortable. Choose from a full range of layouts including lofts, condos, condos with mezzanines and penthouses. Residents will also enjoy the rooftop terrace, landscaped interior courtyard as well as a fully modern fitness facility.

About 60 per cent of the units have already been sold so be sure to visit the new sales gallery this weekend to get a better sense of the project. It’s open Wednesday to Friday from 12 to 7pm, and weekends from 12 to 5pm.

Suites start from $226,000.
