1 yorkville Bazis and Plaza offered us the first glimpse of the exterior of 1 Yorkville with a rendering unveiled on the Bazis blog yesterday.

The developers’ new tower planned for Yonge Street and Yorkville Avenue was designed by Rosario Varacalli and will incorporate elements of Yorkville’s colourful past. The structure will be built above the fully restored Yorkville Village buildings that date back to the 1860s.

Heritage specialists ERA Architects will oversee the meticulous process of preserving not only the buildings’ historical facades, but the entire original structures of the 19th century buildings.

“There is simply no other address like this,” says Michael Gold, President of Bazis. “This is a building that will stand out not only because of its stunning architecture and exquisite finishes, but also because of its magnificent amenities and exclusive services. It will be like staying in a 6-star hotel at a 6-star location.”

Amenities offered at 1 Yorkville will be spread across three levels — a spa level, a fitness level and a rooftop entertainment level. Residents will also be able to take advantage of the legendary Yorkville shopping scene, with Holt Renfrew, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Hermes all within walking distance.
