It’s safe to say that Surface Developments has left its mark on the Ottawa architecture and design scene. Not only did the developer rack up housing design awards for two of its projects earlier this month, but it recently won the coveted 2013 Ottawa Urban Design Award for its 360Lofts mid-rise building.
The developer was honoured at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, October 16th in the Urban Infill, Mid- to High-Rise category. This isn’t the first time 360Lofts has been recognized for its modern features either. The boutique loft, located in the Byward Market, also won the Multi-Unit Wood Design award last year at the annual Ontario Wood WORKS! ceremony in Toronto.
It’s no surprise that 360Lofts is already sold out. Interested buyers, take note: you can still experience the developer’s flair for innovative design with their two custom housing developments. You may recall 211 Melrose (think: shiny red Jaguar giveaway) nestled in the Civic Hospital neighbourhood, along with the 317 Riverdale property, situated in Old Ottawa South.
