The Regency Carts building at 345 Carroll Street in Carroll Gardens is going to be replaced by a new 30-unit project.
The four-story, 53,475-square-foot development by Sterling Equities will be designed by GLUCK+, according to a plan exam application from October 22nd. Demolition permits were filed the same day for the existing white two-story structure.
The new building will have parking, storage, a bike room, laundry room, a common roof terrace and private exterior space. There will be six duplex units on the third and fourth floors.
The property was sold to Sterling Equities in May for $12.5 million. The development is next door to controversial warehouse conversion 333 Carroll Street, which is under negotiations to be acquired by Sterling Equities, Brownstoner reported. The developer’s plan is to tear 333 Carroll down and merge the lot with the neighboring site, a tipster told Brownstoner.
