Burlington may be a mid-sized city, but it punches well above its weight when it comes to design. Link Condos + Towns, located at Dundas Street and Sutton Drive, will combine cutting edge architecture with the natural sanctuary of nearby Bronte Creek.
Imagined by RAW Design, the new project by ADI Development Group and Fortress Real Developments will be an exercise in balance with urban residences built to highlight the natural surroundings. The residences will also be set off by two storeys (or 14,000 square feet) of retail options.
“ADI is not about the past. Link pushes Burlington to break out of its comfort zone – the architecture and design caters to those who are optimistic about the future,” says Roland Rom Colthoff, Director of RAW.
Tiered floors at shifting angles and balcony pods have all been designed to maximize views of the creek. To residents and passersby, the colourful, geometric cubes will be a visual delight.
Mindful of its uncommon location, the project is oriented towards Bronte Creek with the U-shaped community will be built to maximize the views. In fact, the entire design of the four building development focuses on the courtyard’s linear slope to the waterway.
Taking New York City’s High Line as its inspiration, the concrete deck will be landscaped with mature plant life and will extend from the second-storey, enabling at-grade parking below the court and a natural, green ramp down to the creek. The buildings will be also be linked up by two multi-level glass pathways that will be tinted by LED lights at night.
Link will also offer top-notch amenities in a two-storey facility. Included in standard condo fees, an onsite trainer will offer semi-private fitness classes in the fully equipped gym. But if you prefer to just relax, the space is also home to a spa with hot and cold plunge pools framed by a range shower and glass vegetation atrium, plus saunas.
“Health and fitness are priorities in my life, and my friends’ lives. It’s what people want, and we are making it easy to live healthy and ensuring the community stays active,” says Tariq Adi, CEO of ADI Development Group.
Other amenities include a show-kitchen and resort style bar that extends onto the outdoor patio. The main social space also includes a twelve-person private dining room, a billiards room, and lounge.
The name says it all. Link merges together urban living with Bronte Creek, retail and residential space, and recreation and relaxation.
Suites range from 435 to 1,396 square feet and prices start in the $170,000s.
