Downtown Miami’s Centro is already over 60 percent sold in less than four months after launch.
Located at 151 SE 1st Street, the 37-story tower by Newgard Development Group has more than 220 units out of 352 in contract. The project’s groundbreaking is set for this fall, and construction is slated to wrap up in early 2015.
The loft-style one- and two-bedroom residences will have open-concept floorplans, 10-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies, finished concrete floors, ample closets, modern Italian kitchens and stainless-steel, energy-efficient appliances.
Yves Béhar, celebrity designer and founder of fuseproject, will create the project’s interior design concepts. Béhar dreamed up the product designs for SodaStream and the portable speaker JAMBOX by Jawbone.
“Miami’s central business district has been largely overlooked this development cycle, but our sales success thus far proves there is clearly demand for this type of unique product in this neighborhood,” Harvey Hernandez, Chairman and Managing Director of Newgard Development Group, said in a statement. “Centro offers a truly urban live-work-play lifestyle in the center of the bustling metropolis that is Downtown Miami.”
Amenities include a two-story penthouse recreation area with a rooftop pool, health club, spa and skyline resident lounge. Residents will also get a 24-hour reception desk, multiple fully wired shared workspaces and an outdoor pet area with access-controlled entry/exit.
Even more daring, Centro is being developed without a built-in parking garage; residents will have access to on-site Smart Cars through a partnership with the Car2Go vehicle sharing program.
Preconstruction prices start at $220,000 and go up to the mid-$400,000s. Check out the official site here.
